I am delighted to provide details of North Wiltshire u3a's first excursion abroad. When I first took on the chair role, I wanted to provide more events for members to partake in to add to the enjoyment of the u3a, Pip started the ball rolling with a highly successful day trip to Shepton Mallet Prison.

I am really pleased that my ambition has come to fruition with such a delightful holiday filled with superb excursions. The holiday is 5 days (4 nights) in the stunning region of Bavaria. I know that the beautiful scenery, a boat trip on a serene lake, a Baroque monastery, an Oberammergau Passion Playhouse and tours of splendid historic castles and palaces will appeal to many of you!
