We discuss historical subjects based on presentations from members covering social and cultural topics as well as political. We have the occasional session covering archaeology.

The next History Group meeting will be held on September 11th and will cover the British writer of English poetry and prose, Edward Thomas (1875-1917). He is best known for his lyrical, careful depictions of the English countryside and his acclaimed World War 1 - era poetry.

In the coming months we will have the following talks, all starting at 10:30 but come along from 10:00 o'clock and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a chat.
